When should termite treatment be done on a new build?
At the foundation stage, after digging and before the floor is laid. The soil under and around the structure is treated so termites cannot come up into the house. Share your construction timeline and we will coordinate with your contractor.
Is pre-construction treatment cheaper than treating later?
Slightly, and it is simpler. Pre-construction treatment for a 10 marla house costs PKR 13,000 to 16,000, compared with PKR 13,500 to 16,500 for post-construction, which also needs drilling through floors. More importantly, it protects the house from day one.
Should we fumigate a new house before moving in?
It is a good idea if the house stood empty during construction, since cockroaches, ants, and spiders often settle in. Fumigation for a 7-10 marla house costs PKR 6,000 to 9,500. The house must be empty for 4 to 8 hours, which is easy before you move in.
